On the second day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
2 Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

the second day of Christmas

Hey my snowy followers! For todays Day of Christmas, I will be rating Emmie’s playlist as a collab! I reached out to her a couple weeks ago because I realized we were both doing Twelve Days of Blogmas, so I thought it would be fun to do a collab! So after about 13 emails we finally decided to do a playlist swap thingy.

I hope you enjoy, and be sure to check out all these great songs!

  1. Like It’s Christmas – Jonas Brothers Okay, 9/10, this song really hyped me up for Christmas! Itโ€™s also really simple, but also upbeat like Mariah Carrey. I really like this one! The only reason why I took off one point is because it wasnโ€™t really what I was used to, because Iโ€™m a sucker for old fashioned music, Lol!ย
  2. Love You More At Christmastime – Kelly Rowland. Um Iโ€™m only 42 seconds in and this is great! 8/10, mostly because the beginning didnโ€™t feel very Christmasy. But she has a very angelic voice, and itโ€™s so smooth. I like the motown feel of it, mostly because I love motown music! But it kind of gets repetitive, and then about at 2:32 during the song the โ€˜heyโ€™s kind of distracted it from christmas soโ€ฆ Still love it though!
  3. Make It To Christmas – Alessia Cara –ย  First impression, 6/10โ€ฆ Mostly because it felt a lot more like pop music, and not the classic, but maybe people like pop christmas music, because again, sucker for the classics. I like the upbeat and the drums, but yeah, still 6/10. But she does have a beautiful voice!
  4. Hallelujah – Pentatonix – 10/10! This song is so beautiful! Hallelujah! A king is born!
  5. Baby, It’s Cold Outside (feat. Kelly Clarkson) – John LegendA very classic song with a modern twist! I love the jazz feel of it, and already I love the original song, and this just makes it a whole lot better! 9/10
  6. The First Christmas – Riley Clemmons – Awee very beautiful! I love it! The theme, the lyrics, the tempo! 9/10!ย
  7. Little Drummer Boy – for KING & COUNTRY– If I didnโ€™t know that FK&C sung it, I wouldโ€™ve known right away it was them. I feel like it was good, but I feel like they changed it a little to much, but it was still a good song. The lyric video made since, but again, it didnโ€™t to me. Iโ€™d have to look into it for now, but still, I really like the original.ย  7/10
  8. It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Amy Grant Such a pretty voice! I love this version! 10/10!ย ย
  9. Silver Bells – Straight No ChaserOkay this one was cool! Iโ€™m kind of getting used to this style of Christmas Music, but I really do like this one! I like the little music video. It was really funny! 9/10!
  10. 25th – Tori KellyEhhh this one might be my least favorite. I really got pop music vibes and not Christmas-y vibes like I got from all the others. 5/10. The five is for the sick tune lol xD
  11. All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah CareyAhhh this one is on my list too! I love this song so much but the rest of my family doesnโ€™t so whenever I sing it I ignore everyone xD 10/10
  12. Christmas Tree Farm – Taylor SwiftI liked the beginning, but then it kind of went downhill. I donโ€™t really listen to Taylor Swift, so it was different, but I โ€˜d give this one 7/10…I also REALLY like the music video…
  13. River – Sarah McLachlanItโ€™s like a very country Christmas song. Reminds me of Dolly Parton. I didnโ€™t really understand it though, which kind of bothered me, but overall it was enjoyable to listen to. 7/10
  14. A Grown-Up Christmas List – Pentatonix I love Pentatonix, but this was kind of weak, pretty voices, nice tempo, but still, kind of meh. 7/10 because itโ€™s Pentatonix, come on. xD
  15. Winter Snow – Chris Tomlin & Audrey Assad -Such a beautiful song! Audrey has a beautiful voice! Iโ€™ll totally listen again!! 10/10

Independence Day Blog Tour โ—Š Ft. Emmie & Diamond

Supโ€™.

As Independence Day slowly creeps upon us, the anticipation builds, until we (metaphorically) pop like a firecracker.

I love America, but I love my state as well. Weโ€™re popular for spicy foods, the untamed marsh, LSU Football, (GEAUX TIGERS), magnolia trees, pelicans, Alligators, benguets, Mardi Gras, Jambalaya, Crawfish, our crazy accents, jazz music, the weird way things are spelled, and so much more. (Now Iโ€™m hungry)

Which leads me to wonder, what do you like about your state?

I had the idea to do an Independence Day Blog Tour to celebrate our amazing country. Don’t get me wrong, I love other countries too! I’d love to live in Australia or Italy or an African country someday! But, I just thought that since most of the bloggers in our community are from the US, it would just be a US thing.

So I emailed Emmie and Diamond to see if they would like to host it with me.

They said yes!

Enough of the behind the scenes, I bet you’re all wondering why on earth youโ€™re reading this post.

Answer:

You can get involved in the ultimate blog tour. And itโ€™ll be awesome because Emmie and Diamond will be hosting it with me!

So, my friends, welcome, toโ€ฆ

  4. Add the above graphic to your post.
  5. Tag your post with, #IndependenceDayBlogTour
  6. Add the list of names from the doc in step 1 at the end of the post.

Hey daydreamers! Happy Easter, everyone! As Iโ€™m writing this, itโ€™s currently still Easter Sunday and I have no idea if Iโ€™ll get this post up by the end of the evening, but oh well. Itโ€™s definitely been a different Easter than normal for all of us, and even though weโ€™re camping in our backyard insteadย [โ€ฆ]
